Laser department: new L5 Salvagnini system

The L5 is an example of the Industry 4.0 concept, as it is equipped with automatic storage and loading and unloading devices, which allow the system to increase its autonomy and recover efficiency both in the single processing phase and in the entire production process. The new L5, initially designed for cutting with nitrogen and oxygen, adds the ACUT option, which extends the possibility of cutting also with suitably treated compressed air. Our L5 is located in the OLSAR 3 factory, a fully automated plant with a remote control system and the implementation of the PHASE MES system for coordinated production management at all stages. L5 joins the other four ‘colleagues’ in our laser departments.
